What it does
Every picture is the real interface. Pick a skin with the dashes under any picture and the whole page follows.
Bass drum, snare, rim shot, hi-hat, cymbal, maracas, claves, hi and low bongo, low conga, cowbell, tambourine, guiro and metal beat. All synthesised, no samples, built from the 1979 service notes and held to Roland's factory alignment figures.
Waltz, Shuffle, Slow Rock, Swing, Fox Trot, Boogie, Enka, Bossa Nova, Samba, Mambo, Beguine, Rock 1 to 4 and Disco 1 and 2, with the A/B lever and CANCEL, like the machine.
Every voice has Tune, Decay, Level and its own drive with seven distortion types. The snare adds Snappy, the guiro Rate. Drive fully down is exactly dry.
Fourteen lanes, each with its own length and rate, four pages, swing and a pattern generator. It runs on its own or follows your DAW's transport and tempo. Delay and reverb sends, master drive, compressor and hi-hat choke.
